Cruz's first vacation, nine days at the cottage on Mullett Lake. He got his feet in the lake for the first time, and then the Straits of Mackinac a few days later — he took about ten seconds to decide the water was fine, and the rest of the week to be talked out of it.

Our friends the Pecks joined us, and it was a great time. Not a sailing trip: the powerboat did the work, and the best days were the ones where we didn't go anywhere in particular.
